How it Works

5B are proud to be part of Resilient Energy Collective.

We are setting a bold agenda to provide power to Australians disconnected by bushfires and floods, alongside Tesla and with a $12 million war chest from Mike and Annie Cannon-Brookes. This innovative new collaboration, Resilient Energy Collective (REC), has pledged 100 solar & storage systems in 100 days to communities most in need of immediate power.

We are providing our MAVERICK solar technology, allowing for solar panels to be rolled out and generating electricity in a matter of hours, regardless of how remote the community. Combined with a Tesla battery, these bushfire relief power systems will provide 24 hour, 365 days/year of power. Without MAVERICK, this would not be possible.

Resilient Energy Collective

Resilient Energy Collective is installing solar and battery solutions in communities most in need.

These systems can be deployed within a day. They are clean, reliable and resilient; just the solution Australia needs for a sustainable future.

The Collective is funded by the family office of Mike & Annie Cannon-Brookes. But it’s a huge collaborative effort. We provide rapidly deployable solar systems, Tesla provide batteries – we’ve built them, put them on trucks, sent them out and they are already up and running.

We’re working with energy providers across the country to get this done.
